Cornwall, UK
Think of Cornwall, think of sunshine and beautiful beaches! It's England, I know, but it is likely to be warmer and sunnier than other parts of the UK. The benefits of holiday cottages have been mentioned in previous posts so if you've been following our posts on UK holidays, I hope we've persuaded you on considering holiday cottages in the UK.
Nature is beautiful and I admire basking in it and this is one of the reasons I would recommend Tregrehan Gardens and Cottages near St Austell and Par. Set within this enviable location and full of horticultural history, the there are a range of holiday cottages on offer here and as a guest, you will have access to one of the great gardens of Cornwall, the Tregrehan Gardens, so it's a big win!
There are so many beaches to visit around Cornwall so remember your sunscreen and sun hat! Close to Par, are Carlyon bay, Polkerris beach, Spit beach, Polridmouth, Readymoney Cove and Charlestown beach which has been famously known as a filming location for a number of television shows and dramas, including Poldark and Dr Who.
Consider a day out to enjoy some more beauty at Trebah gardens in Falmouth, Cornwall. A visit to Trebah is well worth it so plan your visit and expect to spend a full day to take it all in.
Visit The National Trust estates and explore the beautiful expanse of Lanhydrock by spending the afternoon picnicking or going on a mountain bike trail.
Visit the Eden project, a huge global garden which houses thousands of plants and species and promises to be an excellent day out of adults and children alike.
In summary, Cornwall is a beautiful part of the country to visit, with lots to keep adults and children entertained and you will also good chunks of time for rest.
